A couple days ago, while looking at cats because I do have to face the reality that I may not be able to adopt Kefka and Edea, I looked at nearby catss for adoption. There were two adorable black bonded kittens named Fruit and Granola. And anyways I want four cats now.

“Don’t post publicly about Geoff or you’ll be blacklisted from the industry.” Listen I truly understand why anyone would say that, but being an old man who lived through gamergate and was told by my superior to STFU about it online and refused to: I’m still here and making games.

This is both true and real and also how I met a lot of my friends and got work. Like, really, just be normal and personable and aim to make friends instead of contacts. It works AND you might get cool people who link you things AND you might even get to scritch their pets' chins one day. All wins!

Today's "doing something while thinking about other things for work": making banana bread (with pecans!) in my bread machine, Sliced Bread #2 (as she has a name now). We'll see how this goes. Might also finally make my juices today too, starting with the apple juice.

If your game has voice acting, then working with the voice actors is half of your writing process. It's not complete until you've heard it interpreted and reimagined by a voice actor. And they always reimagine it in ways that elevate the writing, in ways you never would have imagined yourself.
