Biggest gaming pet peeve: PAUSE is an important fucking function. It shouldn’t mean “skip this cutscene,” it shouldn’t mean “blast music louder than normal gameplay,” it should fucking pause the game—no matter what the game is doing—and unpause right there when pressed again.
