Today I am 45. It's the viewing of our pupils' work at Nottingham Contemporary this evening and I'm the only one who can go (probably including the boys) so I shall see how my silver boots are in the rain, drag Howard along and it shall be my pre party (we're off to see Punk Rock Factory tomorrow 🤘)

Nottingham Contemporary have moved their learning space up into their galleries. Our boys have spent the last few weeks working with an artist on the theme of rivers and journeys and today they added to a wall shown alongside the new exhibition opening tomorrow.

Today started with a school minibus leaping over speed bumps, weaving around potholes to Total Eclipse Of The Heart blaring out - half the bus singing, half the bus yelling for it to be turned off, and it was all very old school SEMH road trip vibes.

Today we reached the point of the year where, with the smack of realisation that the end of Yr11 is in sight, one of my boys coloured himself in with chalk pastels. There's one every year. Another boy embraced assemblage. Lots of rusty metal and marginally less messy than chalk boy.

The generic wording seems more of a hoo-ha than issue to me. The example is pretty much repeating the question in the answer stuff, yeah? There's only so many ways you can say something specific, and if AI's gonna be used for anything it's getting some rephrased examples to avoid the hoo-ha, surely?

Just did a Lilly webinar on Raphael's Workshop in which she wondered whether Raphael was a soup that didn't quite have the chance to be a great soup. The metaphor was extended for quite some time & we ended with him, I think, being very well flavoured water that hadn't come to the boil. I love her.

This is a great thread...only thing I would add is that there is a removal of parental responsibility in some parts of proposal. If young people are gaming or online during suspension it is, surely, parents role to stop this. Likewise, support learning during off site exclusion. Or am I being crazy?
