I'd say a solid third of the books that have endured in my psyche are exactly this - smaller, stranger stories that did not reach any sort of critical mass but found me anyway. 💜

Just a reminder that we should be avoiding buying from giant corporations this holidays season. Alternatives/suggestions: -local small businesses -charities/food banks -creators at conventions, craft fairs, commissioning art etc -secondhand (thrift, vintage etc)

A *lot* of indies (myself included!) who are wide are part of Kobo Plus because they don't ask for exclusivity like KU. Really encourage people to try it out.
