Today in First Minister’s Questions I quizzed the FM on the current NHS dental system. The current so called ‘high street model’ is not working in Shetland where we have no options for different NHS dentist providers. I would like to see a model that ensures routine care for all NHS patients.

Farmers and crofters want to know that someone is in their corner. Lib Dem MPs have played important roles in opposing the family farm tax and now our MSPs will do the same in pushing back against the SNP snatching funding away from farming.

I attended the NFUS protest outside the Scottish Parliament today and spoke with farmers about their concerns. The Labour government needs to reverse course on APR and the SNP government must give all the certainty that it can after ring-fencing of agricultural funding was removed.

Raising concerns in Parliament about the activity of Russian intelligence vessels in the waters around the UK and Ireland today - something we have seen before in the Northern Isles. Glad that the minister indicated that the government is considering this in the strategic defence review next year.
