It is an amazing game. The only changes I would make would be: 1. Keep the 8-direction whipping but remove the whip dangling. 2. Give Dracula back his demon form CV1 (make it a 3rd phase of the fight).

So, @rumbleminze.bsky.social is porting Castlevanias to the SNES. This kind of thing always makes me think of my #1 ask for retro CVs: a dedicated special item/weapon button. This was in SCV4 and it made things MUCH more convenient for using your special item/weapons while on stairs.

Awesome! I've completed Arrange Mode but Original wa too tough for me back in my PSX days. Someday I need to try it again and just hang on to the healing herb. 😆
