I love sci-fi and fantasy and would like to write a book or something someday, but I ironically consider myself to be a much better nonfiction writer than fiction. Plots and characters arcs and worldbuilding and magic building and all that shit... HARD. SCARY.

First time in a long time that I've been writing a post that I'm actually excited to finish. I haven't had any passion for updating my website in forever. And it's gonna be SO LONG. I'm trying to cut down on the rambling but I got a lot of word meat this time.

I used to be horrible at taking notes and did so very rarely, and it absolutely ruined me. Couldn't keep track of anything. Now I take notes religiously, and by god, does it help a lot. I fucking love spreadsheets. I have a job app tracker, book notes, notes on my dog's training, etc, etc.

Writers, what do yall think of using italics in your stories? I love me some emphasis, but I feel like I use it too often. I post these writing questions when I happen to be writing and notice myself doing these things lmao
