The nice thing about Boys is it’s blatantly about punching fascist villains, unlike the Marvel universe movies, where even the Red Skull wasn’t really a Nazi. Sometimes its Trump parodies are too 1-1 tho, like Homelander being isolationist, which is already outdated, Trump is a warmonger now! 🙄

I never read the comic but I eventually spoiled myself for it on TVTropes, and I wish they had done the comic’s insane out-of-nowhere ending re: Homelander which involves Black Noir. In contrast the TV series ending is fairly obvious

“The Boys”: well, I watched it all. Anthony Starr’s villain performance is great. The first 2 seasons are good but it becomes pretty repetitive. As a DBZ & manga fan I wish it had done more (any) really BIG destructive superhero battles, everything happens in little rooms! :/

Haven’t seen “The Boys” finale yet but I assume they didn’t use the comics’ final twist re: Black Noir’s identity.
