Susan Rice saw this moment coming. She described it plainly, and she was right. Now, Netflix must decide which side of history it wants to be on. The right choice is obvious. The only question is whether Netflix has the courage to make it.

The extent of the Epstein cover-up makes it close to a certainty that he did *not* commit suicide inside his cell. You don't cover-up something like this and leave a living, breathing prime witness alive. Ask any mob boss.

I'm old enough to remember the good ol' days when presidents were not only never corrupt but also went a long way to prevent the *appearance* of corruption. But some of them were just too f**king old for the New York Times.

Regressive?!? You don't say!! Wolfers is right, of course, but this is rare mention of the word regressive in any public discourse. Tariffs are as regressive as a flat tax, the billionaires' wet dream. It's beyond me why Dems don't keep harping on this.

Wolfers: What we have is a pro-tax Republican president. Maybe he favors this tax because it’s regressive — it takes a bigger chunk out of the paychecks of the poor than of the rich. Maybe he thinks he can baffle us with bullshit and pretend China is paying, but that’s a story people aren’t buying

And tariffs are a regressive form of taxation where an hourly wage earner pays the exact amount for a product as a billionaire like Elon Musk. Imagine if income taxes were as regressive both in the actual amount paid and in the actual rate. Even so-called flat taxes are not this bad.
