I know all the various defenses of piracy, and can agree with some of them (preservation is important!) but when it comes to books, there really ain't any excuse I buy. Gods this is so real. Realism is a technical still, sure! It shows your understanding of a medium, of light, or the ability to copy a photo. But it's not everything. It's not the ONLY thing. You can make amazing non-realistic art. You can make amazing stylized art. Cute, funky, weird, great art.
