🕯 Today, B.C. marks a Day of Remembrance and Mourning for the lives lost at the Lapu Lapu Day Festival. We stand with the Filipino community and honour the courage of first responders and volunteers who brought care in the face of tragedy.

Whether it's energy, critical minerals, or our access to markets, BC is a core part of standing strong in the face of Trump’s threats. We're ready to work with the new federal government to do our part.

Today, we remember the workers who died, were injured or became ill as a result of their job.  Everyone has a right to come home at the end of the day. We will continue to work toward that goal in partnership with workers, the labour movement and employers.

Today, Sikhs across BC and around the world celebrate Vaisakhi – commemorating the creation of the Khalsa and marking the harvest. BC is home to the biggest Vaisakhi celebrations outside of India, welcoming people of all backgrounds to join in. Happy Vaisakhi! (1/2)

Mining in the Kamloops area is going strong, and Steelworkers are a key part! I had a great couple of days here, touring the New Afton and Highland Valley Copper mines and speaking to the Steelworkers that work in mines and smelters across BC.
