Me thinking about every single isekai romantasy with an empire as the "good guys" I read and how we really need to think more critically about empire and a lot of isekai fantasy's obsession with them that doesn't also interrogate what it means to have an empire and who is crushed by one.

We've got to stop writing stories about defeating villains without also examining the systems that create them. Villains aren't reacting to nothing, and they aren't upset at a world that works. I'm looking at you: -Supetheroes -Fantasy books -SO much of the romantasy sphere -dark academia -ETC
