Having been to the cassette EP launch of Shinlifter and Vexations this evening, we have never been more back! Chatting with guys from Cuttings and Big Lanes there I realized that Edinburgh had more bands of merit than England which is astonishing

Getting up to leave Shinlifter in the pub and we gifted our table Nicola Sturgeon and Alan Cummings, sometimes the Blue Blazer feels like the Mended Drum

I can't really express how good Shinlifter are live, navigating Fugazi/Buzzcocks/Sonic Youth/Slits/Bikini Kill but also super contemporary. Everyone is disgustingly talented.
