I think the reason behing Quickstatements being a super star of Wikidata is that it feels _so good_ to run a batch! Leveraging the new version Quickstatements V3, I am now adding BHL Title IDs for Wikidata items with BHL DOIs: qs-dev.toolforge.org/batch/256/ It is so satisfying to see it running!

Today I am adding Structured Data for Broinowski's The Birds of Australia! commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Categor... While our current focus is on South America and Africa, there is a decent amount of southern birds that are common to SA, AF and Australia, like the black-browed albatross.

That feeling of disappointment when you go to @inaturalist.bsky.social only to find ALL 21 research grade observations are closed licensed. I can't feature ANY of these images on the multiple language #Wikipedia articles. Thank goodness for the Biodiversity Heritage Library. #BHL #iNaturalist

I've just assigned DOIs to 3399 articles in the Journal of Conchology from 1874 to 2005. Assigning DOIs is easy, but the gathering & checking of historic article data takes time (even with AI). All these articles are now discoverable & easily citable: e.g doi.org/10.5962/p.39... #RetroPIDs #BHLib

Spent some time yesterday using #OpenRefine to add structured data to the #BiodiversityHeritageLibrary sourced images from the book The Fishes of Samoa in #WikimediaCommons. Such glorious images, now much more easily found.
