I know people like to dunk on wearing tiny "ICE OUT" pins, but I think they represent a really important culture shift. Even people who are very conscious about their image and expected to perform in a palatable way are wearing them in very public places.

You have to read this. Firsthand affidavit from one of the women who was there and recording the video. She talks about how Alex Pretti was directing traffic when she arrived. She watched him be killed in front of her. She's afraid to go home, worried she'll be arrested.

I have been *extremely* critical of the NYT, and finally was brought to unsubscribing after their woeful coverage of No Kings II followed immediately after their lionizing of Charlie Kirk, but credit where credit is due. Let's see what tomorrow's front page looks like...

You can't tell people under attack to remain calm and not do anything if you, also, are not going to do anything to protect them. That's just not how it works.

If only we as a country, as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our independence, had some historical events from our founding era that might help us understand why agents of a distant government shouldn’t murder protesters on the streets of the city where they live.

Body cameras do not fix this. Better training does not do this. Shutting down the agency and engaging in large-scale Nuremberg Trials are the way to handle denazification.

Need unambiguous statements of support by everyone — from Walz and Klobuchar and Smith to Schumer and Jeffries— for state and city law enforcement standing up to lawless DHS.

Abolishing ICE is not nearly sufficient. State and local officials need to start arresting and prosecuting these kidnappers and murderers.

Our Democratic elected officials are not rising to this moment so most of them must go. Any elected official who isn’t willing to organize a Project 2029 around punishing everyone in the Trump administration in order to save democracy must go.

ICE has now carried out two summary executions of innocent people in the streets of an American city. If you work for ICE, there's no denying that's the mission you're supporting now. You don't get to claim in one year or ten or twenty that you didn't know what ICE was doing. You're complicit.
