hmm. I do very much empathize With Jake's main criticism that XC2 can at times feel like a lore vehicle rather than its own story. The perfect works comment especially resonates because the fans treating XC3 as Xenogears 6 is what sucked all my enjoyment out of this franchise and its community.

This is absolutely fair though, and I've actually PLAYED Xenogears.
