Brella discourse I see all just feels a little silly theres like a mix of people seeing brella as a super paint bot or that it should do nothing but wkey and can fight like it has 90 damage. I think there's just an insane gap in understanding of how the weapon functions under a new identity.

Tbh, this is not just a Splatoon community thing but a continuing problematic today thing. Where people can openly or publicly be discriminatory BUT if they’re popular, well known, very good at X thing, they’re given a pass. Outta sight outta mind/not my problem type of mentality. Sad.

My only big hope for next patch is that its buff focused, no main sub or special is OP right now, Pen is the closest thing that could use a small nerf but even then I think other cooler options could be buffed instead. Game itself is great right now and just needs to be added to.

online competitive splatoon orgs still have an advertising problem because while the production value seemed high for SAC (idk i didnt watch i just heard a lot more effort went in), none of the posts i saw featuring trailers or content of SAC had relevant info in its post.

Something I wish the comp splat scene understood more is truly to what extent different "levels" experience the game differently, and I don't just mean skill-wise. Just about everything from social bubbles, philosophies on the game, motivations and desires from playing the game, etc widely vary. 🧵

sendou ink lobbies (8s) feature concept I feel like this is one pattern in the community that the site could potentially provide value with when it comes to discovery and team division. Actually the SPL2 site already had the "Team Splitter" feature but this one would be a bit more involved still.

The update to S3 speaks to the belief that Nintendo has in this franchise. It’s not a Star Fox series that was left behind. It’s not a Pikman franchise that gets no DLC/future updates. It’s also not Pokemon, where they rush game to game. I hope people see how important Splatoon is to Nintendo.

I feel weird for asking questions to others since it seems “too serious.” Learning the mechanics of the game in depth is “nerdy.” We’re discouraged from trying new things because “what’s the point?” It’s wild that we’re all here for the game yet it’s often wrong to express deep interest
