The losses to this administration keep piling up.

What if we got this kind of Big Energy for the National Endowment for the Humanities so that all the fired staff, terminated grants, and cancelled programs were reinstated? Hmm hmm? #NEH

Okay, okay, okay. We may have fallen prey to the inflated numbers that have been circulating. However, this piece remains true: $3.5-4bn would fund NEH at its current level for almost 17 years. That is the primary point we were making. We will now go hide in the corner and drink our wine.

Just putting this perspective up here: Disney lost between $3.5-4bn this past week. That is enough money to fund NEH at current levels for almost 17 years. One company lost this much in less than 7 days.

Great news! If they can restore this previously-terminated grant, they can restore 🚨ALL🚨 grants from the Institute of Museum and Library Services & the National Endowment for the Humanities (the #SaveAmericasTreasures grant program is/was a joint program between #NPS, #IMLS, #NEH, and #NEA)

I just learned yesterday that one of my childhood friends turned to the dark side. Trump promoted him to head the National Endowment for the Humanities in February. He has shown himself quite willing to do destructive things to the organization. I knew he had gone conservative, but this is sad.
