The argument I have been making is that data center developers should pay for enough renewables for their own energy AND the entire community they infiltrate. 100% free electricity for everyone. Throw in heat pumps for everyone for good measure.

You, too, can submit a comment in 6 days that remain before the July 13 deadline. You certainly don't need to be a scientist, or work at a university, or for the federal government--all American taxpayers will be affected if this proposal is finalized. Some resources are below:

For better or worse, I dug into that paper that claimed to upend everything we know about the oceans taking up most of the heat from global warming. It's a perfect example of how AI makes it easy to produce science-y papers that amount to climate disinformation.

Things are apocalyptic for science in the US. It might not seem that way to everyone because many academic scientists have tenure and get to keep their jobs (for now), and most grants last three years, so many scientists still have funding. But it's going to get way worse.

This should be shocking to all Americans. Trump is approximately zeroing out federal funding for all science and engineering. How does that make America great exactly?
