I've been reading Code The Classics
magpi.raspberrypi.com/books/code-t...
Volume 2 is now also available. I've started work on a new version of my favourite Atari 2600 game. Combat. Maybe I'll be done in time for the 50th Anniversay in 2027

I was amazed when we had kids that there were dedicated soft play areas where kids could climb and jump and fall safely. When I was a kid those things were called carpet showrooms.

So the rest of us who use drones in Cork City for recreation, search and rescue, geographical surveys etc have to step aside while the skies above the city are handed over to a private enterprise.

We’re heading for a world where bars of chocolate become so expensive, and tubs of chocolate become so small, that at Christmasfamilies will be giving each other a bar of chocolate instead of a tub or box.

Dear politicians. The kids notice your policies. The bad ones and the good. 14yo has never mentioned something the Irish government has done until today. And it was this.

I vividly remember the ramp up to the Iraq War, around this time of year in 2003. Watching Colin Powell’s presentation to the UN. I remember being shocked at how blatantly obvious it was that he was lying. It’s weird to me I was capable of being shocked at 19 years of age.

I'm not a party person. I just want a fairer, kinder, greener world. I'm delighted to see how well the Greens are doing. But we also need a strong and sincere Labour Party, and it is an absolute tragedy to see how Keir Starmer and his moral bypass of a government have ruined it.

This is what happens when a great government like Kier Starmer’s has solved every problem in the country and is left kind of bored with nothing useful to do.

As someone who flies drones recreationally/for photography (and follows the rules & regs to the letter), I'm quite pissed off that we're in essence shutting down our national airspace for the benefit of private companies

If you break the law and people say you shouldn’t have broken the law. They’re not your “critics”. (“Trump’s critics say”…etc.) They’re not saying “innovative crypto scam, but failed to nail the dismount 7/10”. They’re just people stating facts.

It really can't be any more explicit. The USA, the Russians etc want to keep Europeans divided and hooked on their oil and gas. But we can fight back. The renewables commissioned in the UK's just this year will cut LNG imports from the USA by 50% compared to BAU. And we can do far more.

There's a sentiment I hear constantly from parents in the context of schoolkids, that i NEVER hear from the kids, and never heard when I was a kid. This idea that without uniforms kids would be bullied for having cheaper clothes.

Soooo, Don. What you’re saying is you watched. Even though you said you wouldn’t. I guess Turning Point’s alternative half time show didn’t do it for you. Understandable.

This is the greatest player ever (O'Sullivan) taking as many shots as he wants to recreate a shot by Alex Higgins. And he can't do it. Jimmy White can. He's from that era.

In 8 years The Beatles didn’t just go from A-Z they went from A to entirely different alphabets. I like some Taylor Swift songs, she deserves all her success and I wish her well. But she hasn’t gotten past about D or E. I wish she’d use her power to shake up music not just the music business.
