My own kids seem to want the most unhinged ending. No reasonable settling down for bed. No lesson learned. No return to normalcy. Explosions and chaos! Authority defeated! So I try to keep that mentality in mind. #kidlitchat

For picture books, there is a struggle because it is easy to start with a problem that a kid might be facing, and hard to articulate resolving it in a way that doesn’t sound like an adult talking down. #kidlitchat

If I am struggling with an ending to a story, the answer usually lies at the very beginning of a story. #driveinmob

I have to brainstorm a lot about an ending, because I usually have a solid concept that leads to a punchline, but need to tie things together to be MEANINGFUL. #kidlitchat

Bluesky is great but you gotta learn to use the features that make it so special: feeds, starter packs, labelers, etc. After you are following a few feeds and active users, COMMENT IN THEIR THREADS! Idk how exactly it works for publishing, but if you have a publisher & you get unsolicited emails/texts from people wanting to promote your book… just refer them to your publisher or your book’s publicist. Don’t try to engage on your own.
