Gen 4 megas! I love Lopunny. what a diva. garchomp also came out kinda slay. I used the gen 4 sprite colors for all of these, although I adjusted them for abomasnow. He took forever with all those details, but I think he's cool! spriting lucario made me like it more.

the hoenn legends: i drew kyogre and groudon kinda chubby and stuck with it, lol. groudon was pretty tricky with all the spikes and detail. kyogre i really had to squash in there. rayquaza came out amazingly. i was surprised!

more pixel art: mega salamence has only minor differences from regular when it's not flying, so you might not even be able to tell lol. but i still like how it came out. for latias and latios, I used their eye color to shade their body, because i'm not a fan of how they look exactly the same.

some of my fave megas! altaria is so fluffy. i had fun dithering the clouds. glalie is another one i liked as soon as i saw it lol. love the creepy teeth. absol came out sufficiently emo and the feathers are feathering. banette i chose to use pink as a highlight, and it's pretty spooky.

lots of new megas revealed yesterday! some cool designs. here are some more classics though. medicham was a bit tricky to get hte colors, but i like it. manectric looks good with such a jagged style. i used sharpedo's rs sprite, and i like how the mouth turned out

pixel art: had to make some decisions with color with gardevoir and mawile. i like how mawile turned into a goth girl. not sure how i like the pink shading on mawile. sableye came out kinda ripped lol. i like how the gem looks. aggron isnt my fave mega but he came out well.

finally getting into megas from post gbc! i'm really happy with all 4 of these. their designs posed a lot of challenge, but they look like they could've been in the games. sceptile's my fave of the hoenn megas. i do like swampert's silly legs and blaziken's flames.

I really like mega steelix, and i had a lot of fun making it. heracross i made my own pose cuz i didnt like the ref poses out there. scizor isn't my fave mega, but i like how the claws came out. and m houndoom is imo a better design than regular

more megas: for all of these, i used existing sprites to help me out, so they didn't take too long. i did draw mewtwo y's pose, and i think it looks pretty good. i liked doing the rocks on aerodactyl's body, and the hair on ampharos. im working on just the old megas for now!

on day 5 of the school year, i was able to correctly name all 129 of my students without looking at the attendance sheet 🥳 even though i did have to buffer like 5 seconds for some of them

i had to text a lot of people for advice on volcanion's sprite lol. was not happy with it for a while, and it went through a lot of revisions. i think now it's pretty good. tricky to get the perspective of the cannons and the legs. i think the shiny looks like candy lol
