Oversees education is a lifeline to young people stuck in conflict and repression. These students work so hard, to take this away because it MIGHT not be safe for them to go home after they finish programme, is unnecissarily cruel.

🚨 The USA has ended temporary protected status (TPS) for people from Myanmar, falsely claiming conditions improved. Yet, the people of Myanmar are being terrorised daily by an illegal military junta committing int'l crimes with impunity. ✍🏼 Sign the petition to extend TPS and protect lives.

The implication that someone cannot be a student and then legitimately seek asylum is absurd. This is not abuse of the system, its reality- things change quickly, and at the same time situations that seemed temporary (e.g. might be safe to return after studies) become protracted.

These scholarships are so far from what he says they are, I can't stand it. These are young people fleeing conflict and forced conscription, trying to get a better future and contribute to their communities. This was a literal lifeline and they took it away out of spite and ignorance.
