On Shavuot we celebrate the gift of Torah, which forbids murder, commands us to love the stranger, and implores us to pursue justice. This year, we watch in horror as the Israeli government uses US-provided weapons to carry out genocide, ethnic cleansing, and apartheid in the name of Jewish safety.

I've said it before, but the big dividing line on this issue isn't Zionist/anti-Zionist or One State/Two State or Jewish/Gentile, it's people who think ending the Occupation is a moral imperative and people who think it's an acceptable status quo.

BREAKING: The Senate has voted for the first time to *advance* the Iran War Powers Resolution, 50-47. Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Rand Paul, and Bill Cassidy joined Democrats to advance the resolution on Trump's war. John Fetterman was the only Democrat to join Republicans against advancing it.

If you spend enough time researching Holocaust deniers, you find that one of the arguments they repeatedly make is that because Anne Frank died of typhus, she cannot be said to have been deliberately murdered or her condition exacerbated by the conditions of the camps.

Sexual violence against Palestinians in prison is abhorrent, and these testimonies describe some of the abuses that are ongoing in Israeli facilities. There is no world in which this can ever be excused or justified. Sexual violence against anyone is always unacceptable. (1/3)

Schumer is out of step with his caucus and should step aside.

Absolutely historic vote today where 40 US Senators voted to block the sale of Caterpillar D-9 bulldozers to Israel, citing civilian harm Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon. Though the measure was defeated (as expected), the tide is turning. Just last year, this number was 27.

🚨 Record high of 40 Senators have just voted to block $300M of bulldozers to Israel. Blumenthal, Coons, Cortez Masto, Fetterman, Gillibrand, Rosen, Schumer voted w/ Republicans. Along with demolishing Palestinian homes, Israel used a bulldozer to kill 23-year-old American Rachel Corrie.

I think is the death knell for Schumer's leadership. His caucus has abandoned him on what has become a core D moral issue. I don't think it's sustainable to have someone in that position who supports unconditional military support for Israel.
