Pope Leo is making a strong move to hinder the power of an abusive right wing extremist branch of the church. He is posed to sign a decree separating Opus Dei into three branches and essentially blocking the recruitment of new initiates.

I recently (as in earlier this year) learned about the evil that is Opus Dei- they are BAD NEWS, to put it mildly, and learning how many prominent people are aligned with those bastards was eye-opening. So seeing serious efforts are underway to squelch their influence is very good to hear.
