End Zones and Border Wars is one of my favourite CFL books. Incredible stories, and lots in there that could be applicable to other leagues.

On June 24, 1994, the Shreveport Pirates hosted the Baltimore CFL Colts in a preseason game at Independence Stadium. Here's a picture of the stadium scoreboard published in the Shreveport Times. This was a few weeks before a court injunction prevented Baltimore from using the name "Colts." #cfl

Green Bay native. Went to Ashwaubenon High. Had a couple of starts this past season in emergency situations (Montreal lost three quarterbacks for various lengths of time). Also had some playing time in the USFL before it merged with the XFL.

For the Packers fans following me, Forrest Gregg was the head coach for every game of the team's existence (but wasn't the only head coach the team had, and yes, that makes more sense when you read the article). It wasn't Gregg's first OR last job in the CFL, although it was his last as a head coach

Worth noting that he did not have to cut this when Green Day played the #CFL Grey Cup halftime show. Once again, the Grey Cup is the superior professional football championship game.
