"Expedition 33 is the reason game devs think they can get away with genAI" Do people not realize how long games take to make? The Exp33 story was last year. This statement makes no sense. Protesting genAI is a perfectly valid reason to not support a product but can we not throw out common sense?

Today I discovered that watching so many peers freak about a cool announcement and then immediately be presented with immense disappointment on it mere moments later hurts my soul in a special kind of way. We're just trying to enjoy our hobbies man, it's all we have :/

What I'm taking from this is how vague and meaningless these genAI disclosures are allowed to be. You really have no idea what they used it for. Could be textures, could be concept art, could be they just used a transcription tool for meetings. The vagueness sucks.

I think a lot of publishers and developers think that being vague will save them, but it just leads everyone to assume the worst. Sega would be much better served by detailing exactly what they used Generative AI for than giving this PR-style statement and letting our imaginations fill in the rest.

This era of people knowing what goes into development of games and being invested in that is causing a lot of turmoil, I've noticed.

I'm glad these devs keep getting to make games but the second game felt like a big step back from the first. I hope they can impress this time.

Last year, miHoYo copied my puzzle game Ouros in Zenless Zone Zero. Because they are a recognized, billion-dollar studio and my game isn't well known, some people are now assuming that their version is the original, and mine is the clone. I hope this video clears that up.
