This was a great reading year for me. Thanks to @buffer.com's generous book reimbursement program I was able to read 26 books, 19 of which were fiction. In the thread below I'll share my three favorites of the year.

Some new @buffer.com data on engagement over on X. Premium accounts definitely get more engagement (and reach), and link posts have been getting punished for non-Premium accounts.

One of the most gratifying aspects of @buffer.com achieving its all-time high in MRR is seeing the acceleration of growth. Not only is MRR higher than it has ever been, but we're growing faster than we have in a long time.

I got to chat with the incredible @rose.bsky.team this week and it was an absolute delight! 🦋🌹 My most important takeaway (apart from all the great stuff below)? It's pronounced "at" protocol. Like "Where on the internet are you at?" Wordplay, even? I could not love this platform more.

Buffer's MRR in 2024.. 🏒

Bluesky has officially overtaken Threads as the 6th most popular platform on Buffer, and it's on track to eclipse TikTok in the next week or so.

People are now connecting more Bluesky accounts to Buffer than Threads or Mastodon accounts

Bluesky is really taking off for Buffer users. It's on track to overtake Threads in terms of active users within a few months.

As a marketer, I'm keeping an eye on alternatives to X. We have a ton of interesting data about platform adoption at Buffer. We introduced our Mastodon integration last year, followed by Threads in June and Bluesky in July. Bluesky growing the fastest at the moment. h/t @julheimer.bsky.social
