I've done this, almost every day (and made up for the days I missed during other days). It was really helpful, to have a meaningfully sized yet not NaNo sized goal, to get me writing and also to be satisfied about! I got so much done! Might go for another month of this, too! THANK YOU!!!!

The Lord of The Rings movies were rated PG-13. By current rules that means that each film could contain one use of the word "Fuck". Which line are you altering to insert the most useful swear word? "All we have to decide is what the fuck to do with the time that is given us."

You're right, and it leaves me with very few ways to find books to read. But the plot and tropes in a novel tell me little about whether it will keep my attention, make me love the characters, or include good and engaging representations that are less common. That's what I look for in a book, sadly.

One of my biggest fears is to accidentally due to someone what my mom did to me. So it took me so very long to realize not wanting to dress like her was based in dysphoria, not, you know, dealing with the family curse.

Day 18, inspiration: Oof, inspiration is a rough one with everything going on in the world. There isn't as much room inside of me to invent something new and interesting because it's taken up with horror, grief, and attempts at activism. #ResearchAdvent

Day 17, found: When I was at Vasser, I looked for found inspiration in the library during winter break. Stories like the time a student was told off for not wearing her pearls & returned wearing them but nothing else. I didn't find much, but exploring, I found a campus radio station #ResearchAdvent

One time I stayed at a motel that felt wrong. I am still half convinced that something horrible had happened there in the past. Maybe. I woke up at night feeling wrong. IDEK. The next day, I left to sleep in a colleague's hotel room.

I have so much to say about that story that I don't have words. Parents who are so bad at being parents that their kids cut them off are not the victims.
