The dark line is a Badger path. The lawn was wildflower meadow and so little light reached the ground. Now it has been cut the dead, yellow grass is revealed. But where the Badgers cross they trample the long grass letting light down to the ground. Worth looking out for in recently cut fields.

Emma's posts are properly lovely brain-soothers. I've got a couple of her botanical image prints framed for everyday brain-soothing loveliness. Pause and gaze and forget the outside world (or inside monologue) for a while.

I so want to do this, but also am so time-poor at the moment that I know I would just pile stress on my poor burnt-out little brain by giving myself another "should". So maybe this can be my summer holiday thing.

Boy went on a school trip for half term. To south of France. On a coach. Among other things... - missed the ferry - coach broke down - crossed the same bridge 3 times in 30 min - missed the ferry - drivers ran out of time at Thurrock and stopped Thus boy spent 57 hours on a coach there and back 😬

This is a beautiful, moving, thought-provoking, incredible article. It's made me pause for thought in so many ways about so many things.

It has just taken my son 32 hours on a coach to reach the south of France. School trips eh? (This did include the coach breaking down, French police closing a lane of the motorway, a Volvo specialist mechanic being found, amongst other drama).
