Related to something I posted earlier, for horror October, I advise everyone to have a double feature night with the two best American vampires movies yet: NEAR DARK and SINNERS. They're two very different films, but both put the vampire myth into a purely American context.

Picked up two more rejections on short stories this week. Both were form rejections, which means I can't even tell if there is something flawed in the story that I'm not picking up on or if the pieces just didn't jive with the slush reader(s)/editor(s). Sent both pieces back out.
