As someone who has taken or got both, I can second this.

Furries literally helped make Bluesky. It’s no exaggeration to say the Bluesky is only as successful as it is because furries migrated to it en masse. Telegram is the same way. Without furries posting their porn here, Bluesky will go the way of Tumblr. This is a plain fact.

You might doubt that furries make that much of a difference, but the extent to which furries, as an online community, play tastemakers for nerd culture at large is NOT to be underestimated Furries are also much, much larger in number than you think. People who go to cons are the tip of the iceberg

The old adage that the internet is for porn applies here. Furries are a huge locus for good, free, and non-scam-infested porn on the Internet, and because of that, furries get LOTS of engagement. The furries leave, all that goes away.
