The NYT reported this week that Andrew Cuomo was in contact w/Trump and that Cuomo told business leaders he doesn't want a fight w/the president. Zohran Mamdani sees a “betrayal of the city,” by Cuomo. But Cuomo is really betraying his own campaign. No Trump-linked mayoral candidate will win NYC.

Being tied to Trump in today's New York City is even more politically disadvantageous than being associated with Nixon in 1969, writes @nicholsuprising.bsky.social. Andrew Cuomo is coordinating with Trump—and New Yorkers aren't going to like that.

The scheme to gerrymander Texas so Trump and the GOP can retain control of Congress can only succeed if the Supreme Court allows states to gut what remains of the Voting Rights Act. In 1965, most Republicans supported gf Voting Rights Act. In 2025, most Republicans are working to destroy it.

This is why it matters.
