In this video he mentions one of the things keeping him from wanting to open source the app was some "other devices" that would be using the same device. I'm really hoping that said "other device" is Pebble Core.

In light of the Steam Frame, one thing said about it was how light it was. Ultimately though what I want seems to be what Meta may be making which is a headset the size of the Bigscreen Beyond with SLAM tracking and a compute puck. To me its really the only thing that makes sense for mainstream.

Really hope the Steam Machine sells will. Price is key on this! If it does, and gains a good market share then it will be undeniable as a platform for games. And would put pressure on game companies to support linux properly (anti-cheat).
