Just a reminder for the folks re- discovering screwworm that the effects of public health are invisible until it fails and that the people involved need everyone of good faith to fight as hard for it as they can, always and forever. That kind of burden sucks, but the alternate is... This.

it has to take place simultaneously with tribunals of Trump regime officials. build the case publicly that the extraordinary is necessary and ignore the bleating of the centrist press.

there's no argument against court packing that doesn't implicitly assume we can keep the status quo and we cannot keep the status quo, Roberts et al are absolutely eager to demonstrate that

I get in a way what they are trying to do with her in RoH but I don't know if a 4 year title reign is more impactful than being personally impressive in this "sport." I hope they can do both, but let's not expire too much of Athena's remaining time pls.

The deepest challenge to student learning is the transactional system of education they've been steeped in. Harvard's actions have just turbocharged this problem by making the desired outcome of the transaction scarcer. More stress, more dishonesty, more AI use, less collaboration. Good luck, fools!

Really don't get this. Faculty set the standards in their classes. They set the benchmarks to meet each grade level. If students meet those benchmarks, they should get the grade. I don't see why students have to take the hit because the profs at the "best school in the world" don't update pedagogy.

Because we lived through it and exist within its milieu we have no idea how truly good we all have it historically speaking. Normal saline infusions have saved more lives than anything outside of vaccination and it didn't become well established as a therapy until *90 years ago*.

It's a true testament to the primacy of vision as the primary human sense that much of our ability to advance scientifically is tied to our ability to visualize complex systems. Save a life -- invest in microscopy and spectroscopy.
