i think something people really don't understand is that right now there are literally dozens of vulnerable Republican members of Congress whose loud and proud support for ICE are ripe for attacking this year but if Democrats join with them to pass "ICE reform" it lets all of them off the hook

Democrats have no desire to abolish ICE. They can’t even say it. And it’s because they want to use ICE and have used ICE. They just want them to operate less openly fascistic in front of the cameras. That’s it. It’s a choice between open fascism and fascism with a smile.
