What happened in Minnesota today is heartbreaking and unconscionable. I'm praying for the victim and her family, for Minneapolis, and for our country. ICE is endangering communities, and their terror must end.

The news coming out of Minneapolis is horrific. Rejecting authoritarianism should not be a death sentence in the United States of America. We need answers and we need ICE out of our communities.

I didn’t grow up in a political family, and I didn’t know that life would take me down this path. But I saw a need in my community, and I stepped up to meet that need. I’ve been fighting for Illinois ever since.

It's time to give the people what they want. That's why I'm fighting for Medicare for All, a $25 federal minimum wage, and to get corporate special interests out of politics.

Healthcare is a human right. Medicare for All isn’t “divisive” — dismissing it without an alternative is. Congressman Krishnamoorthi calling it a “noble goal” while offering nothing else is exactly why people are demanding change.

Palantir executives like Shyam Sankar are getting rich off of ICE's terror campaign in Chicago, and they've been laying this dangerous foundation for years. Despite this, my opponent took nearly $30,000 from Sankar. Values that stop when the fundraising starts, aren't values. They're talking points.

When I joined community organizers in the Back of the Yards neighborhood today, we saw ICE activity in the area and spent the afternoon making sure our neighbors know their rights and could get home safely.

For the past year, an "alcoholic's personality," "a conspiracy theorist," and "a right-wing absolute zealot" have been running our country. And those aren't my words, they're Susie Wiles'. Even Trump's own chief of staff knows this administration is a mess.

This move was intentional. Trump is actively working to erase our history and culture, but we won’t let him.
