I doubt the Army is setup to deal with disgruntled draftees at this point. Look at the casualty rate of 25% for 2nd Lieutenants during Vietnam vs 1% in Afghanistan. Conscripts with guns during an unpopular war is a recipe for disaster.

Going forward everyone will have preconditions before sitting down. Expect only small deals done quickly. Because it is now obvious that the US negotiates in bad faith.

I was looking at old books and was reminded of a trilogy I read in the 80’s that I really enjoyed. Titan/Wizard/Demon by John Varley Big Dumb Objects Alien Intelligence Fantastic Vision The books were nominated and won awards. If you are looking for something different, highly recommended
