after millions of views and shares of my Portland Frog art. (thank you all🙏🏾) I got requests to highlight priests, and chickens, and Chicagoans, and T-Rexes, and more… all of us who refuse to bend the knee. so this is for US. 𝚂𝚝𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚃𝚊𝚕𝚕. 𝚆𝚎 𝚆𝚒𝚕𝚕 𝚆𝚒𝚗.

There will be many small moments in our lives moving forward that require a little bit of quiet bravery, of holding your breath while you do the necessary thing. And if your conscience is formed you will see those moments, and you will do those things. That level of bravery becomes your new baseline

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office. Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc. Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

You will do readings where no one shows up. You will set up at events and sell no books. Rejection will show up in your inbox again and again. You will say “I wrote a book!” and folks will stay quiet or say “Cool!” and then not buy it. It’s all good. Part of the gig. KEEP AT IT.

My starter pack needs more space than the 150 allotted so I’ll make a part two of horror folk, creatives, and evil doers. Also, why does Bluesky allow me to change the title of the pack but the graphic still says “horror writers”. Anyways, go celebrate these artists

Said with fond best wishes: I like the vibe here. Can we not bring the X derangement here in how we post? Perhaps just slower, less reactive, less about scoring points, or reflexive wisecracking? (humor is great, posting your, or my, first thought... often is not)

A number of artists and creators have made their home on Bluesky, and we hear their concerns with other platforms training on their data. We do not use any of your content to train generative AI, and have no intention of doing so.

For those doing NaNoWriMo -- or, honestly, those just writing anything at all, ever -- some thoughts about how we can overly mythologize our own process and how sometimes you gotta blow it all up.

When Your Process Isn’t Working For You, Change Your Process
