Me quietly working on my crop art piece. Husband tells me that he didn’t like how I was doing the letters, and wonders if I should use a different seed. The look I gave him! I told him that I liked it. Mind you he has a lot of opinions about crop art, but has never actually made crop art. LOL.

Spent the last 5 days in a staring match with my crop art piece. Think good thoughts, I’m going in.

Working on crop art tonight by laying out seeds (without glue) to see if it works the way I want it to before I commit. I’m moving things around and get to a point I like, grab my phone to take a pic to see how the camera sees it…annndddd I drop my phone on the board and all the seeds scatter. FFS.

Actually worked on my crop art piece for almost 3 hours today. Let’s see if I can keep the momentum going and not ignore it for days.

Did I work on my crop art project today? No. No I did not. Instead I went out and bought some seeds I don’t have yet…and won’t be used in anything I make this year. Priorities.

I just realized that I should be creeping on the onion bins when I’m out shopping. And if I spot someone picking through the onion bins and grabbing only onion skins, quietly walking up to them and asking if they are a crop artist. LOL. It’s definitely the time of year for it to happen!

This is so cool! As someone who grew up going to classes making stuff like a macrame poodle wall hanging and a ceramic toothpick holder that looked like a tiny paper bag, this sounds way more fun with much more interesting and diverse projects.

A few weeks ago I bought some salted butter. When I opened the package I was shocked to see 8 tiny half sticks instead of four! Surprise! Didn’t realize that half sticks were a thing, thank goodness it was still 1lb of butter. I’ll have to keep an eye on the packaging next time.

The wind and my neighbors outdoor lights are definitely a pain in the ass - but I’m still having a great time running in and out of my house and seeing how the Aurora Borealis is changing over time.

Aurora Borealis from the south metro, this is looking to the west. It was very faint when I first went out, but is now definitely visible with the naked eye, but the camera certainly helps.

A group of 6 LCC K9 comfort dogs arrived in Minneapolis yesterday in the wake of the latest mass shooting. The organization deploys comfort dogs following tragic events. The dogs wore their "please pet me vests," offering love and comfort to those processing this heartbreaking tragedy. 15/10 for all

The Creative Activities building had a pretty big update this year. They moved a bunch of vendors out of the annex and I was wondering where Larry the guy who sells Swiss Peelers every year ended up. Found him in the Merchandise Mart building! Glad to see he’s still around. He’s a legend! #msf
