I don't really identify with the 'bedroom generation' label as an older gen Z. But I will say the way the news is and how it's thrown at you online is just so damaging now, and young people don't know any different with no perspective.

At some point politicians need to realise that they have a responsibility to be honest with the electorate. They have the power to inform people as well as to set the agenda. That responsibility has been totally abdicated in nearly all areas.

Listening to Radio 4 this morning and I am just disgusted. We have Trump style bathroom bans and they're just legitimising it under fluffy legal language. It's despicable. The extremists have won.

Number of universities in the QS Top 100 world ranking by country in 2026 USA = 27 UK = 17 Australia = 8 China = 5 South Korea = 5 A top five UK service sector export (c.Β£25bn) that we should probably support and champion more if we want to maintain an advantage.

It is *incredibly* shabby that the Green Party cited "family and personal reasons" for their Makerfield candidate dropping out, given it was actually in relation to sharing antisemitic posts. Had a right-wing party done the same, they'd be getting called out loudly here for it. And rightly so.

Really canβt overstate how bad the EHRC guidance is. Trans people are not allowed to use single-sex facilities that align with their gender but are also not allowed to use facilities that align with their sex if their physical appearance there might cause distress. Approach to policing this is π€·ββοΈ

I haven't read the full document, but my word are these sections just nonsense. This is not how you do policy, and unfortunately this government is just actively harming an extremely vulnerable minority.

This what appens when the left accept the narratives of the far right. It will never be enough, its stupid to try and chase it. The right will never ever ever be happy with any immigration because without it as an issue there is no political far right.

I wouldnβt generally post a Telegraph link, but this is a massive issue. Itβs awful for staff on the receiving end who are largely unable to defend themselves. It takes up so much time, energy, and resources to deal with.

Everyone is an AI warriorβ¦ itβs making everyoneβs life worse. Emails to each other, unreasonable demands, over confident expectations. Itβs like they removed the human in it allβ¦. Which they literally fucking have! Talk more and AI email less, so many of these issues would resolve themselves.

As long as employers in the best paying sectors expect their employees to have a degree then there will be high demand for university degrees. Unless Milburn's Labour government wants to impose rigid state controls that dismantle market forces.

As of today Ed Davey's European policy is *less pro European* than the two leading Labour contenders to be Prime Minister. This is an utterly mad bit of positioning. We Liberal Democrats are a pro-European party - so why on earth don't we say that we want to rejoin the EU?

I honestly think banning MPs' second jobs is the single most powerful immediate thing the Govt could do to dent Reform support. It's the right thing to do. It would be a strong move (and message) in cleaning up politics. And it would shine a light on the person hit hardest: Nigel Farage.

A Muslim prayer room in Blackburn was fire bombed on Monday. The multifaith centre in Shrewsbury had a swastika spray painted on its door. None of this made the news. None of it gets the attention it deserves from the government or press. Islamophobia is not taken seriously in the UK at all.

Nigel Farage tells The Sun's Harry Cole that Elon Musk offered to give Reform loads of money "if we said certain things" and he refused. "I can't be bought." Two things: 1. This is an allegation of attempted bribery. Very serious. 2. It shows the obvious: donors expect something for their money.

cba getting yelled at on this because life is short but man alive I've not loved this whole strand of "well Polanski isn't as bad as Nigel Farage so any attempt to hold him accountable for any wrongdoings is inherently biased and bad" thinking, that's just not how you should want things to work!
