I'm having a functional capacity assessment done at the moment, and today the OT had me do a few tasks for her. Truly, I felt like a monkey being observed by a scientist. She was able to accurately surmise how my mind and body work by watching me chop vegetables... it's quite fascinating.

I have been doing clinical pilates for eight years now. The kids are getting into it too, so I had a bit of a what the hell moment and splurged on a reformer for home. Eight years of clinical pilates and I've still had Informer by Sno playing on repeat in my head since it was delivered yesterday.

Everyone who's urged me to get in touch with Carer Gateway over the last few years will be pleased to hear that after a 55 minute phone interview, I've been granted 2x 2 hour visits from a cleaner. Boring post complaining about boring flu-like illness, which, twelve days in, I'm exceptionally goddamn bored with. I'd demand a more interesting condition, but I already have plenty of those and I'm pretty bored with them too.

I'm in burnout. We've had a rough time lately. A lot going on with the kids, bonus kid, and now my mental and physical health. I realised I was getting a bit messy in the thinking last week, so went to my GP, who's referring me for more help, adjusting meds, and checking in weekly for a while.

It always feels weird when I decide to post on social media, particularly after a long absence. Why am I saying what I'm saying, and to who? No fucking idea. Anyway, hi.

Before that, I've got to be sensible and get a recumbent exercise bike though. Because I need to get cardio happening, and I won't be able to bear weight on my foot for a long while yet. My podiatrist has one more thing to try, then I'm getting referred for surgery. Boo! Stupid weak ligament!

Seriously considering renting a pilates reformer for home because legs in loops exercises are the best thing I've ever found to regulate my nervous system and once a week clinical pilates is not enough for my burnt out autistic brain and ridiculous hypermobile body. Leggy leggy leggggggs!
