there are tons of people I know who still choose to use twitter for a variety of reasons, even if they aren't actively "on" the site anymore, and it's genuinely just so icky to me. "yeah, I go to the restaurant where most of the diners are nazis and child preds, but I only use the drive-thru" bruh

using twitter in any facet whatsoever is implicitly giving a pass to shit like this. investors see high site traffic as potential revenue, they dont care how many people you have blocked or if you just use it to browse but not post. traffic is traffic, and contributing to it helps enable this shit.

I don’t want this point to be lost in the discourse. Going digital-only means inequity for people who cannot afford internet or constantly purchasing new games. Libraries provide opportunities for people to experience games they otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford, and that will be lost.
