Damn, exhausting weekend. Spent Saturday at a college wrestling tournament, Sunday hosted my father-in-laws 80th (and his sister’s 70th) with 40 guests, dealt with several snowstorms, and finalized our President’s Day weekend plans. Oh, and did laundry, plus linens from all guest rooms b/c guests.

Did my Sunday 7 miler in the snow today. The roads were clear last night, but the snow early this morning messed things up. Basically wet snow on top of ice, lovely. I had lots of slip & catch myself incidents, and 1 complete face plant, with a belly slide on the ice. Hope I impressed the viewer!

Made strawberry ice cream for dessert. Has been long enough since I last made it that I forgot I have to get the bowl in the mixer, the dasher spinning, and everything ready BEFORE I pour the cream into the bowl. Had the cream immediately freeze to the side & lock up the entire process! Fixed!

Finally done with last-minute Christmas baking. Made 18-dozen cookies yesterday. Made toffee today, but it got slightly scorched, so at the last minute ended up making another batch. Have some cookies.
