Brock Wilken has reached base in 20 straight games and is hitting .167/.308/.313 overall. Really tells you a lot about just how terrible that first couple weeks was!

Seems likely we'll see MeGill > Ashby > Abner today and I think I'm OK with it, given the fact that they burned all their long men the last couple of days except Drohan, who just went long in this one. Sometimes circumstances actually do conspire to force your hand on something like this.

This is now the third time in those 15 games that they've scored double digit runs. They also had a couple of 7 run games and only one shutout. If I wasn't watching (most of it) I probably wouldn't believe it was possible.

Since Christian Yelich joined Jackson Chourio and Andrew Vaughn on the IL on April 12th, the #Brewers have scored 75 runs (and counting) in 15 games, good for a nice, even 5.0 R/G. Coming into the day they were 6th in MLB over the full season at 5.07 R/G, but that'll be going up. Remarkable stuff.

Last night, the world lost one of the all time great contrarians in Kyle Ashauer. No one could take a ridiculous position on something frivolous and argue it into the ground like him. I get this, but I do think it's somewhat overblown, at least at this point. Uribe has regained his stuff, Ashby is good when he's not being overexposed and Grant Anderson can do a job. It's not the depth they're used to, and Megill and Zerpa are legit concerns, but it's a place to start.
