A sample of my painting process for the last piece of Ergo Cosmos (x4 speed up)

There is something moving and almost surprising in putting side by side our hands and what we created with them! Trusted friends, blessed instruments and companions of the artist, you bridge our beautiful animal nature with the burning fire of the Spirits.

Work on the second character, still a lot of polish required! I am posting this closeup to make a point: to breath life into the painting you should paint ugly, i.e. chaotically, the brush should not be controlled but twist as if possessed by a demon.

Progress on this piece, I hope the glaze effect isn't too annoying! Anyway, in 6 days the first illustrated book of Ergo Cosmos will be finally released, and I am in equal parts terrified and happy :D
