Wow. My experience is in oil & gas & actually oil companies have done similar for decades. Buying up alt energy research & shelving it for a later date to transition from oil companies to energy companies (which they've already transitioned to). This is what happens when power accumulates.

My youngest is dog-sitting my mom's dog tonight at my mom's but needed the wifi password. I am proud to say that we managed to obtain my mom's router name, crack her password on her old MAC to launch Terminal, repeated the crack, & gained that wifi password. Our evil chuckles were real. 🤣

Hellish 24 hours. My mom called me last night, having issues with speech. Got her into the ER. She had had a stroke sometime yesterday that hit the left side of her brain right in the speech center. I am so dismayed. She was actually one of the few actually still cogent family members I had.
