This is a quilt top called Dutchman’s Puzzle by Missouri Star. I had a serious “flying geese”—the triangles set in white—learning curve! 🤬🤣 I love working with batiks, especially ironing them and smelling the residual wax. The vibrant colours lift my heart! #ArtAdventCalendar

For day 14 of #ArtAdventCalendar I have one of my most beloved images, a jackrabbit that was inspired by Albrecht Durer. The background is a spit bite aquatint technique that I quite enjoy as it gives a watercolor effect. This one was my first piece to be shown in a museum and I kept the wall tag.
