We are on our way home, currently in Frankfurt waiting for our flight to Vancouver. I’ve made a huge list of things I want to read about when I get home. I’ll let you know any cool stuff. Thanks for letting me share this with all of you — it made it even more special. Names in Alt text.

This morning we happened to find these two male rhinos. So incredible!

Our ranger brought us to see these Southern Masked Weavers working on their nests. So cool! You can see nests in various stages of construction.

On our last game drive, we saw the same lion pride we saw on our first drive at Sabi Sabi. Very sleepy lions. 1/2

This morning on our last game drive we saw this hyena. He had a buffalo leg bone but it was picked clean so he was headed off to look for more food.

In the jungle 🎶 the mighty jungle… These boys were oblivious to our presence 1/2

Last night — Cape Buffalo and Rhinos including a BABY! Sound up for “Moo.”

This old male leopard had found and dragged a zebra carcass to this tree. He was full and sleepy but trying to stay alert in case other animals came in to the meal. Glen holding camera on the left.

Tonight was another unbelievable experience. Let’s start with vultures feeding on a hippo carcass. The trees all around were full of vultures and the must have been at least a hundred on the carcass itself. The hippo had been killed by a rival and staff moved it away from the water hole.

For those of you who have been enjoying my videos, I’ve just been grabbing them with my iPhone. @glengrambo.bsky.social has been taking photos with an actual camera so there will be more good things to come!

Two male lions had killed a buffalo. This one was feeding and we were able to watch. Sound up for crunching. He’s going through ribs to get to inner organs.

We were able to sit with a herd of about 500 buffalo last evening. Mind-boggling.

Beautiful scenery!

One of the nursing females. She had just fed two cubs.

A dozen lions sleeping right near our vehicle. The cubs were nursing, lazily rolling over, and it was the most peaceful scene you could imagine. ❤️

This herd of elephants crossed the road right in front of us giving us a nice close look at them.

We saw many giraffes this morning including this female drinking from a puddle right in front of our vehicle.

I found these antlion traps near our cabin today. Knew about them from a book ok I read more than 50 years ago! Please Google them to learn about them. Very cool!

This hyena came to see if the leopard had anything good to eat. Walked right in front of our vehicle.

One of the main things I hoped to see— dung beetle!

I have a very happy husband! Unbelievable leopard watching experience this morning!

Watching these giraffes browse makes their shape make sense.

Bee-eaters being fed by their parents! And, by the way, this is one of the most unbelievably cool things I have ever had the privilege of doing. ❤️

We flew to Skukuza and on the short drive to our lodge we saw a giraffe and these elephants. The baby elephants were having a mud bath! We are at Narina Lodge at Lion Sands. Having lunch and the are water buffalo right in front of us and an elephant farther down the river.

So @glengrambo.bsky.social didn’t have his magic bathrobe but managed to take a few photos anyway.

One of the animals I really wanted to see was the Rock Hyrax. And we did! Phone pic but you can see how cute they are!

They were adorable!

Next trip clue: This trip is a gift from my sister and her husband, who will be travelling with us. It’s somewhere I never thought we would see. We may see both lions and penguins.

Clue 3: Compression socks for flights longer than 8 hours.

Clue 2: Because I have extra room in my suitcase, I’m taking these for some schools near where we are staying. One of the lodges works with them.
