Wednesday morning I had the chance to visit the Becoming A Man (BAM) Youth Guidance Program at the Mildred School in Mattapan. Grateful to spend time with these young kings, hear their perspectives, and witness the powerful work being done to support their growth, leadership, and future success.

Today was all about community. From Little League Opening Day and ice cream with neighbors, to installing 400+ smoke detectors with BFD and the Red Cross, to standing with advocates for a safer Hyde Park Ave, this is what it’s about. Showing up, working together, and building a stronger community.

Yesterday, we held a hearing on transportation safety projects across the city. Thank you to the many advocates who showed up and testified in support of safer streets, we appreciate your voices and commitment.

Today, the Boston City Council will hold a transportation hearing on two dockets I’m proud to have co-sponsored—#0204 and #0588—focused on strengthening street infrastructure and making our roads safer for everyone.

This morning, we rallied together to defend TPS and stand with immigrant communities everywhere. We heard from powerful organizations such as IFSI, MIRA Coalition, La Colaborativa, and more. Families across many communities are at risk of being separated and it is time to fight for what’s right!

As the Chair of Housing and the Community Preservation Committee on the Boston City Council, it was an honor to attend the Mayor’s Office of Housing Funding Round Celebration. Combined, these projects will add almost 900 affordable homes across our City. Build more housing.

Yesterday was the 1st time the City has done large-scale daytime snow removal—holding the parking ban to give crews max space to work. Today, I stood alongside the Mayor and my fellow elected colleagues to send a loud and clear message to the Trump administration: we demand transparency.

I’m over it, public transportation is NOT a privilege, it’s a necessity for thousands of people across our city. It’s how people get to work, school, medical appointments, and grocery stores. We’ve become far too cardependent, and the cost of that dependence falls hardest on working-class residents.
